So, it's been a while since I posted anything on here, understatement of the year!
The first half my final university year is flying by and has definitely kept me busy. I hope to share my uni projects with you; final pieces, work in process, any competition entries and my exhibitions.
I plan to use this more often hopefully posting at least once a week about what I'm currently working on. I'd also like to post interviews with illustrators that inspire me, discuss illustrators that I like, review any exhibitions that I go to etc.
My next post will be about the work that I've been working on so far in my third year of uni.

So I haven't posted on here in just under a year, that's crazy! Anyway, I've decided I'd like to post on here regularly every fortnight, I may do weekly but, I'll see how I get on doing it this often first.
Since I last posted I have completed and passed my second year at uni, on to my last year (I'm not terrified nope, not me).
I have been given a Summer Brief titled Obsession in which I have to create 8-12 pieces of illustration based upon my chosen theme. I also should a sketch book with quick sketches, to record my ideas and research of illustrators and references.
For my Summer Brief have decided to explore the theme of the era 60's and 70's. I shall be looking more closely at the fashion and pattern side, possibly using the oranges, browns, mustard yellow and reds heavily featured in the Seventies and experimenting with the bright colour palette of that of the Sixties.
Materials wise I want to experiment with pencil, ink and collage, I would like to combine them possibly in some way. My initial idea is to draw my illustration and to then collage on top or cut away to reveal collaged parts.
